Mid-Winter Signs of Hope

It's tulip season and these beauties are making me very happy every time I see them. Combine that with the fact that it's now still light at three in the afternoon and I am a happy, hopeful lady.

Marcus & Martinus

You guys, check out these adorable Norwegian twins! Jamie came home singing this song a few weeks ago and now neither of us can get it out of our heads. And don't worry, we don't really understand much of what they're saying either, but that's decidedly nonessential to the enjoyment of the song.

Staycation

Hey, dudes! Sorry I haven't been great about posting pictures this week. It's because I haven't been great about taking pictures. Annemor and Matt are in Sri Lanka and the Segerstens are in the Dominican Republic and have been sending beach and palm pictures regularly, and I haven't even been able to respond to them because what I am I going to send? I picture of me re-watching every episode of Girls? The Swede fishing? Jamie jumping on the bed? The bottom line is, we haven't been doing much exciting, but have enjoyed our Christmas break nonetheless. Back to work and school tomorrow!

Top Reasons Not To Go Sledding

… according to Jamie, after I pushed the apparently horrible idea so hard that he was crying actual tears:

1.  Said tears would freeze into ice cubes on his face.
2. We might go so fast down the hill that his loose tooth would fall out.

The Place To Be

Jambo and I are on break this week since his school is closed, and while The Swede is technically on the job, he's been working so much overtime that he was able to take the afternoon off. He decided to take us to the museum of natural history, a first for Jamie and me and the first time he'd been in about thirty years. It was an awesome idea, but not a unique one as the place was PACKED with preschool-aged kids and their parents. I daresay, all the coolest parents take their kids to the museum of natural history.
