This week I started language classes along with several dozen other foo foo foreigners trying to get by around here. The classes are two hours long and the teachers only speak Swedish so my brain hasn't worked this hard in a long time. Vanderbilt Divinity School has nothing on Sundbyberg municipality's Swedish for Immigrants. I'm by far the only American, and by 'by far' I mean that almost everybody else is from some place that America is at war with. Everyone seems very friendly, though, and since it's the only way you can show your goodwill without speaking, there are a lot of folks walking around smiling like goons. And in that way I fit in perfectly.
